Understanding and Taking Control of Pain
Taking control of pain is a relatively easy task. A tablet or capsule of your favorite analgesic usually does the work. However, understanding pain and what works best for each individual is more of a challenge.
Pain is our body’s alarm system. It is a complex mechanism that alerts our brain that something is wrong with our body. Despite being an uncomfortable experience, being in pain is not all bad as it proves that our nervous system is functioning as it should.
Almost all kinds of pain can be easily controlled by medication. However, when in chronic pain, the risks of addiction, dependence and organ damage can outweight the benefits of over-the-counter or prescribed medication.
Here are some natural remedies that might come in handy for pain relief. Don’t just throw away those analgesics yet as these remedies yield varied results from person to person.
Taking Control of Pain Many people believe that pain is a part of the aging process and that they just have to live with it, or that the only treatment in many instances is risky surgery. However, neither is true. Here are some of the most common myths about chronic pain. A natural pain-fighting combo So what about a safe and effective natural option instead — one that really works, and not only reduces pain, but actually helps reduce the inflammation that causes pain, and puts your body on a path to healing that allows you to not just survive your exercise, but to thrive from it. In my own practice, it’s the combination I recommend most to everyone who wants to be, or stay, active, but can’t stand the longer recovery time or even the pain that exercise can cause from the outset. The ingredients? A simple, but powerful formula that includes curcumin, boswellia, DLPA, and nattokinase. Let me explain: Curcumin, the herbal powerhouse Curcumin has become very popular as a supplement in the past few years. This compound from turmeric, a botanical with deep roots in Ayurvedic medicine, is an herbal superstar due its amazing ability to multitask. It doesn’t just fight inflammation and pain, it can help heal wounds and may protect against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s as well. The tough thing is getting curcumin to absorb well into the body without having to take massive doses of it. That’s why I recommend the curcumin in this combination. It’s no ordinary extract. It absorbs amazingly well – up to 10 times more than standard curcumin extracts. Plus, it stays in your system longer at a level that actually has an impact, yet it is still natural. The extract is micronized – made into a very small size – and combined with turmeric oils to help absorption. Curcumin is one of the most remarkable healing agents that nature has to offer. When this compound is brought to its full potential with responsible science – the way it is here – it truly shines. Boswellia: the inflammation-stopper The second herb in this combo, boswellia, fights pain too, but in a slightly different way. While it reduces inflammation as curcumin does, it does so by inhibiting an inflammatory enzyme in our bodies called 5-LOX. And like curcumin, you want to find a boswellia extract that is better than the ordinary. Look for a boswellia that screens out most of a substance called beta-boswellic acid. Beta-boswellic acid can cause inflammation, and a lot of extracts don’t take that into account, so choose carefully. A good mood matters, too! Another ingredient in this pain-fighting combination is DLPA, which is a combination of two forms of the amino acid phenylalanine. Both forms help support and even improve your mood – no small thing when you’re dealing with pain. Natural and fast-working Finally, nattokinase helps improve microcirculation to make sure the herbal and amino acid ingredients reach their optimal destination. Nattokinase also helps keep fibrinogen, a compound associated with muscle damage and stiffness, in balance. Have vital health and be active naturally! Here is my message: You do not have to compromise your health to stay active. The combination of high-absorption curcumin, low-beta boswellia, DLPA and nattokinase make one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory pain relievers available. These ingredients have been proven time and time again to be highly effective and safe for extended use. When you’re looking for a way to truly help your body heal pain, skip the over-the-counter fixes and consider the long-term benefits of these effective ingredients. They’ll help you stay active and in the game, just like you want to be!
